The panda

        A panda is one of the most popular animals, because it is funny and cute and has many fans over the world. The panda is white and black. It has got a round head, a big body, a short tail and six fingers on each paw. It is much bigger than you think.

       The panda lives in the mountain forests in China. It eats bamboo. An adult animal can eat 12 to 38 kilos bamboo a day. If there isn't much bamboo, it can eat grass, fruits, insects, small birds and eggs. 
       Panda families don't live together. They are solitary* animals. Pandas are good at climbing trees and can also swim like other bears. They can't stand and do kung fu moves like Po in Kungfu Panda. They love napping**. But pandas don't hibernate*** during winter.
